Doroszuk Wojtek

(born 1980 in Głogów) studied at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. In 2005, he received a scholarship to study at the Sabanci University in Istanbul. In September 2006, he received his diploma from Zbigniew Sałaj and Grzegorz Sztwiertnia’s Interdisciplinary Studio. He is currently working there as an assistant. He is one of the outstanding figures of the young scene from Kraków. From 2005 to 2006, he was holder of scholarship from the Minister of Culture.

In his works he is concerned with problems connected with the questions of: foreignness, barriers in interpersonal contacts and limitations due to language.

So far, he has had one solo exhibition Subtitles in F.A.I.T. Gallery in Kraków (2006). He participated in numerous group exhibitions, including: Sztuka w służbie lewaków, Kronika Gallery, Bytom; Die Vergänglichkeit des Schönen, IM Brückenpark, Stadthalle Görlitz, Germany; Nie lękajcie się! O ładnym…, Młyn nr 2, ‘Ziarno,’ Krakow (2004).
